Blaine R. Oswald

1941-2018

Blaine R. Oswald, 77, of Crab Orchard, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington. He was the husband of Marquitta (Hodge) Oswald whom he married on December 16, 1966. Blaine was born on April 27, 1941, in Bedford, Pa., to the late Joseph Robert and Mary (Stapleton) Oswald. He was a 1964 graduate of Centre College and had taught science at the Crab Orchard High School and Lincoln County High School for 18 1/2 years. He had also worked as a mail carrier for U.S. Postal Service having retired in 2009.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marquitta Hodge Oswald; son, Spencer Clinton Oswald and wife Kathy; son, Clayton Otis Oswald and wife Lesley; five granddaughters, Ruthie, Leah, Sarah, Rebecca and Lillian Rose.

In addition to his parents, Blaine was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Clinton and Clayton Oswald, Tim Siler, Ken Leece, Elmer Martin and Clinton Thompson.

Private gravesite services will be honored with Bro. Ric Estes officiating.
