With popular Disney movie tunes playing from large speakers set up in the parking lot, the Boyle County Public Library held a summer reading program kick-off party Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event was held to encourage young readers to sign-up for the reading program and keep track of all of the books they read this summer. Turning in reading logs earns participants prizes. Pizza and popsicles were served, inflatables for bouncing were set up and faces were painted. The bookmobile was also open for youngsters to tour, and check out a book if they wanted to.
