The Arts Commission reached its match goal for the Fund for the Arts “Building a Community of ArtistEntrepreneurs.” This program will pair five established artists with five emerging young artists to enhance, experiment and pass on artistic skills and develop strategies for developing a successful arts business.

Individuals interested in applying for the program may contact Mimi Becker at arts@historicdanvilleky.com for information and an application. Participants in any arts field are welcome to apply.

The grant funds include stipends, materials allowances and field experiences to visit innovative arts programs and businesses around the state. Applications will be accepted through June, with selections made in July. The program will begin in September and run through the fall and winter.
