Jackson “J.W.” Wood Chambers, 85, of Danville died June 8, 2018. He was born June 22, 1932 in Boyle County to the late Buford Wood and Maudie Alice Searcy Chambers. He worked for Corning/Phillips for 42 years. J.W. was predeceased by his sister Gladys Chambers Miller. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Noel Chambers, his brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home, Danville with Rev. Nelson Reynolds and Donald Lear officiating. Pallbearers will be Tommy Keene, David Keene, Jerry Fisher, Eric Noel, Brandon Newton, and David Mitchell. Burial will be at Danville Memorial Gardens.
