Dunnville bank robbed at gunpoint

DUNNVILLE — The Casey County Bank branch in Dunnville was robbed at gunpoint on Monday afternoon, but no one was hurt.

According to Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman, two people carrying sacks entered the bank at about 2 p.m., brandished a handgun and demanded money. Coffman said an undetermined amount of cash was taken and the subjects were in and out of the bank in less than one minute. As of Wednesday morning, there were no suspects and the investigation was continuing, Coffman said.

According to the Danville Police blotter, at 2:12 p.m., area officers were notified that an armed bank robbery had just occurred and they were to be on the lookout for suspects traveling in a teal-colored Toyota Camry with no license plate. According to the blotter, the vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on U.S. 127.
