A total of $313,685 has been budgeted for expenses.

Kirchner said the bulk of the revenue is expected to come from the local room tax, charged through hotel room rentals in Boyle County. The room tax is estimated to bring in $260,000.

Money the CVB is planning on spending includes tourism asset development and support:  $1,000 to the Constitution Square Park Endowment; $12,500 total to the BBQ Festival, Great American Brass Band Festival and Harvest Fest; $2,000 to convention support and sponsorship; and $13,000 for a matching trails grant and marketing.

Other expenditure totals include personnel, $132,625; advertising, $120,000; professional development, $11,300; business operations, $19,060; and memberships, $2,200.
