Tony Ray Shearer

Tony Ray Shearer, 72, of Robinson Lane in Stanford, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington. He was the husband of the late Pernie (Hopkins) Shearer who preceded him in death on June 13, 2016. Tony was born in Boyle County, KY on November 11, 1945 to the late Walter Mack and Sara (Robinson) Shearer. He was an U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Tony was a member of the Hedgeville Baptist Church.

Survivors Include his Daughter, Tracy & Husband Scott Terry of Junction City; Step Son, Walter D. Hopkins of Danville; Sister, Penny & Husband David McCarty of Campbellsville; Brother, Walter Mack Shearer, Jr. & Wife Sue of Battle, Ky; 7 Grandchildren: Savannah, Dakota, Abby, Landon, Maddy, Logan & Reiley

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by a Son, Tony Shearer II; Step Son, Dickie Casselman; and a Sister, Barbara Jean Baker

Funeral Services: 11 AM, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Hedgeville Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Grizzell officiating. Place of Burial will be in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors By the Caswell Saufley American Legion Post # 18 of Stanford. Visitation will be from 6 pm until 9 pm on Monday, July 2nd at the Hedgeville Baptist Church.
