In the news brief “Boil water advisory dropped for Parksville” that appeared on A3 Friday, the Parksville Water District representative was misidentified. The representative was Jerry Feather.
City of Danville blood drive happens Wednesday
The City of Danville Community Blood Drive will be 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday at the Boyle County Public Library, held in the Community Room.
Walk-ins are welcome, but visits may also be scheduled by visiting kybloodcenter.org or calling (800) 775-2522.
Kentucky Blood Center is celebrating 50 years of saving lives with a special anniversary give-away: a 2018 Toyota 4-Runner. Donors will receive a special 50th anniversary T-shirt and automatically entered to win the vehicle.
Blood donors must be at least 17-years-old (or 16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D., and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
