Summer is officially here, and staying cool are Morning Pointe of Danville residents who learned how to make homemade ice cream. While enjoying their freshly-made frozen treats, the seniors at the personal care and Alzheimer’s memory care community explored other ways to beat the heat with an educational forum, courtesy of Heather Hall, LPN, patient care liaison from Caretenders.

“With the temperatures soaring, it’s important that seniors stay hydrated in any way that they can,” says Lisa Keller, RN, BSN, executive director at Morning Pointe. “We are always looking for creative and practical ways that seniors can enjoy summer while staying far from the risks of dehydration.”
