Jingle in July 5K

KSP Post 7 “Shop with a Trooper” program is hosting a Jingle In July 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk on Saturday, July 28 at the Garrard County High School starting at 8 a.m. Entry fee through July 14 is $20 and $25 after July 14. Registration is from 7-7:45 a.m. on race day. Age divisions include 11 and under and through 70+. Make checks payable to Jingle In July 5K and mail to: Cundiff Chriopractic, care of Jingle In July 5K, 53 Farra Drive, Lancaster, KY 40444. Meetings

Boyle and Mercer County Joint Jail Committee — 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 13 in the Boyle County Fiscal Court room. Items on the agenda include: Shepherd’s House update; Brandstetter Carroll update; Boyle/Mercer ration; and health department inmate medical services contract.

Boyle County Democratic Executive Committee — 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 23 at the Fairgrounds Whites Park Building. All local Democratic candidates and interested Democrats are welcome to attend. The agenda will include the election of one male and one female committee member. Registered Democrats interested in finishing a four-year term with two years left can send a message to the Boyle County Democrats Facebook page no later than July 20. Members would be required to meet six to eight times a year and help with the annual fundraiser and annual fish fry.
