Emma Ruth Dishon, 81, of Stanford, Ky., passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at home.

Born on March 12, 1937, in Lincoln County to the late Ed Rowland and Lillie Mae Yocum. She was the widow of Kenneth Earl Dishon. Emma was a homemaker for most of her life and she loved all of her family dearly including her family at Lincoln County Senior Citizens Center and was also a member of Dix River Pentecostal Church in Lancaster, Ky.

Survivors include four sons, Morris Wayne Dishon (Belinda) of Danville, Ky., Kenneth Dwight Dishon of Somerset, Ky., Paul Douglas Dishon of Waynesburg, Ky., Lindon Oneil Dishon (Charlene) of Eubank, Ky.; three daughters, Linda Kay Patterson (Thomas) of Middleburg, Ky., Marketia Earlene Dishon of Stanford, Ky., Romona “Gail” Walls (Barry) of Stanford, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Traci, Casey, Bridgette, Nicole, Anita, Sabrina, Tony, Justin, Megan (Tasha), Joseph; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Cecil Earl Dishon; four brothers, J.B. Rowland, A.G. Rowland, Tusko Rowland, Kenneth S. Rowland; and one sister, Lillian Greer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, Ky.

Funeral will be Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Walter Bowling officiating the service. Burial will follow at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Ky.

Pallbearers are Layton Abbott, Casey Patterson, Joseph Walls, Tony Dishon, Justin Dishon, Christian Tooms, David Miracle, Doug Willoughby and honorary pallbearers are Tommy Patterson and Barry Walls.
