DBCHS Pets of the week, July 24

Published 6:50 am Tuesday, July 24, 2018

Our featured pets for this week are Dylan and Ace.

Dylan is a cute little buff and white three-month-old kitten. His favorite activities are exploring, eating kitten chow and snuggling. Dylan is a friendly stray brought in with two of his littermates. He’s a precious fellow with big expressive eyes. Dylan’s goal is to find a special home where he can bring lots of joy and love to his new family!

                Ace

Ace is a sweet seven-month-old terrier and hound mix pup with long floppy ears. He weighs about 30 lbs and has short legs and a longer body, also know as a “low-rider”. Ace was surrendered to the humane society because his owner did not have the time to care for her pets. Ace has an outgoing personality and is ready and willing to learn. He just needs a person with a big heart to give him the training and love that he needs and deserves!

Are you looking for a fun volunteer opportunity that will positively impact the homeless animals of Boyle County? The DBCHS needs volunteers to assist our staff at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart just north of Nicholasville. A few hours of your time on Saturday afternoon can make a big difference in the lives of our homeless dogs and cats. This work is both enjoyable and rewarding. Find a friend and volunteer together and you will get to spend time with our adorable animals and at the same time you will be saving lives. For more information you can contact our PetSmart coordinator by emailing humanevolunteer@gmail.com or call the humane society at (859) 238-1117.
