Fabric sale to benefit homemakers

Quilting-quality fabric will be for sale as well as sewing notions during the fabric sale at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive. Hours of the sale are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Friday, July 26-27, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 28. The event is in memory of the late Jane Gessaman as a fundraiser for the Boyle County Homemaker Clubs.

Bourbon tasting in Perryville

PERRYVILLE — Main Street Perryville is hosting a bourbon tasting with Mike Lankford, bourbon connoisseur, as he discusses the  history of bourbon. The event will be held in the newly renovated Johnson-Britton House at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 26 and 27. Cost is $50 per person. For tickets call (859) 332-1862 or (859) 319-9762.
