Bate High School reunion

The Bate High School Alumni Association is having its 18th biennial reunion Aug. 10-11. Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, general sessions will be held at First Baptist Church Second and Walnut Streets. At noon, there will be the dedication of the Michael M. Smith Memorial Park. At 6 p.m. Saturday, a banquet will be held at the Danville Country Club. Guest speaker is Larnelle Harris. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased by calling Margaret Alcorn at (859) 236-3090. Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, Aug. 3.
