Nancy Middleton Dunaway

1930-2018

Nancy Middleton Dunaway, 88, of Stanford, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at home. Born May 19, 1930 to the late Joe and Lula Cummins Middleton, she was the widow of the late Russell Dunaway, Sr. She was a former employee of Palm Beach Inc. & Bastin’s Shoe Store, and was a member of Fort Logan Church of Christ. In her spare time she enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and U.K. Basketball games. Survivors include her three children, Russell Dunaway, Jr. (Patricia) of Cincinnati, OH, Billy Dunaway (Ann Robin) of Harrodsburg, KY, and Kathy Dunaway of Erlanger, KY; one brother, John Middleton of Marion, OH; two sisters, Denise Stamm and Theresa Craig both of Miamisburg, OH; four grandchildren, Chris Dunaway (Amanda), Tyler Dunaway (Samantha), Tim Dunaway, and Brandon Sutton (Danni); four great-grandchildren, Charlotte Dunaway, Karleigh Sutton, Layne Sutton, and Jett Sutton; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twelve brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the funeral home with burial following at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Casket bearers will be: Chris Dunaway, Tyler Dunaway, Tim Dunaway, Brandon Sutton, Bo Gander, Brian Doyle, Jonathan Alford, and Lonnie Allen.
