Gladys Carrier

1928-2018

Gladys Carrier 90 of Lancaster, widow of Leonard Gordon Carrier, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Baptist Health of Lexington. Born January 28, 1928 in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer & Lucy Lawson Goins. She was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church, where she was active in the “Joy Club”. In addition to her late husband & her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, Cecil, J.W., & Jack Goins, & a sister, Lucy “Jenny” Prewitt.

Survivors include daughter, Peggy Foley, of Lancaster; sister, Brenda (Charles Russell) Masters, of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Brian Foley, Jamie (Scott) Powell; six great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gavin, & KateAnn Foley, Hannah, Maggie, & Eli Powell.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 01, 2018 at Ramsey-young Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Best officiating & burial following at Lancaster Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne & Jerry Goins, Aidan & Gavin Foley, Charles Russell Masters, Roy Gibson, & Bill Schwab. Honorary pallbearers include the Velma Lucas Sunday School Class. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Ramsey-Young Funeral Home. Friends & family may share memories or leave condolences on her tribute wall at : www.ramsey-young.com.
