DBCHS Pets of the week, August 7

Published 6:25 am Tuesday, August 7, 2018

Our featured pets this week are Skylar and Annie.

Skylar is a precious 12-week-old calico kitten. Doesn’t she have the sweetest face with cute markings? Skylar is from a litter of stray kittens, brought to the humane society so she could find her perfect family. Skylar is a playful girl and yet she loves to be held and will snuggle in your arms. Skylar is ready to make a wonderful companion for many years to come if you select her for adoption!

Annie is a sweet senior Beagle that was found as a stray but has not been reclaimed or reunited with her owners, so she is now available for adoption. Annie is a smaller Beagle, weighing less than 25 lbs. Her face is grayed, but she has those big brown eyes and long floppy ears that are so endearing to the breed. Annie gets along with other dogs and has a gentle disposition. Are you willing to open your home and your heart to this deserving canine senior citizen?

Did you know that Kroger Supermarket has a program called Community Rewards? Each Kroger Plus card can be linked to one charity. If you choose the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society, every time you shop at Kroger and use your Kroger Plus card, you will earn free money for our animals. We receive over $1,000 each quarter from Kroger thanks to the people who are already participating in the program.

To help the DBCHS animals you must sign up online at krogercommunityrewards.com and have your Kroger plus card handy. This is a very important income source for us so please help the animals and sign up. If you need detailed instructions, you can call the humane society at (859) 238-1117 or email dbchs@bellsouth.net and we will be happy to assist.
