Milburn family reunion

Danville City Commission — 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at city hall for a special called meeting. Agenda includes an executive session for deliberations on the future acquisition or sale of real estate property by a public agency, but only when publicity would be likely to affect the value; for possible personnel discussions which might lead to the appointment, discipline or dismissal of an employee; and a regular session and action, if necessary.

Boyle County Board of Education — 6:35 p.m. tonight, special called meeting and will replace the regular working session that had been scheduled for the same date and time. Items on the agenda include: notice to board of field trips, personnel actions, fuel quotes and bus conduct report and procedure change; working session will discuss the Aug. 16 board meeting agenda; consider bringing tabled Boyle County teacher internship program off the table and consider action and job description; consider amending extra service salary for the 2018-’19 school year; consider motion to go into executive session for preliminary discussion of superintendent’s evaluation.

Boyle and Mercer Joint Jail Committee — 1:30 p.m. at Mercer County Fiscal Courtroom. Items on the agenda include: Shepherd’s House IOP update; jailer’s report, consider inmate per diem.

NARVRE – 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9 at Danville Bowlarama. This is a meeting for retired railroad employees and spouses.
