Carole A. Brown

1942-2018

Carole A. Brown, 76, of Stanford, formerly of Danville, passed away, Monday, August 13, 2018.

She was born in Junction City on May 24, 1942, to the late Forrest T. and Vina Lillian Rice Mobley. Carole was a graduate of Junction City High School. She attended Southern Avenue Baptist Church. Carole retired from Ephraim where she worked in Environmental Services and was previously employed as a seamstress at Palm Beach. She was one of a kind. Carole was always smiling, loved her family and enjoyed life.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by three sisters, Mary Shelton, Dorothy Nilson, Peggy Shearer; and one brother, Harold Mobley.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Brown; a son, Jim (Candi) Brown; a daughter, Janet Johnson all of Stanford; five grandchildren, Jason (Jessi) Brown of Junction City, Clay Brown of Harrodsburg, Maegan (Rodney) Braymer of Junction City, Mitzi Johnson of Danville, Jessica (Anthony Bustos) Shaw of North Carolina; 11 great grandchildren, Micah Brown, Seth Brown, Kristin Brown, Joslynn Brown, Kenlynn Brown, Macie Pass, Branson Braymer, Liam Ward, Lathan Ward, Ryan Payseur, Paxton Bustos; and a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 17, 2018 at Stith Funeral Home in Junction City. Rev. Ron Graef will officiate. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Andy Robinson, Jason Brown, Billy Franklin, Rodney Braymer, Anthony Bustos and Butch Wine.
