Denise Watts Jenkins, 64, of Stanford, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018 at her son’s residence in Shepherdsville.

Born Monday, May 10, 1954, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Leona Fields Watts. Denise worked, for many years, as a nurse and most recently worked as a Certified RN Coder. She was a member of New Beginnings United Methodist Church, loved her grandchildren, sung for many years in the group “One Accord”, was a member of the Quilters Guild of Lincoln County, and attended many crafting classes at the Lincoln County Extension Office.

Denise leaves behind two sons, Darrin Jenkins (Danielle) of Shepherdsville and Robert Jenkins (Jennifer) of Lexington; one daughter, Sarah Wooldridge (Duane) of Danville; eight grandchildren, Ty Jenkins, Brenna Jenkins, Alex Jenkins, Lucy Anderson, Abigail Jenkins, Audrey Wooldridge, Charlie Jenkins, and Gracie Wooldridge; one granddaughter due in October, Madelynne Jenkins; one brother, Woodrow Wade Watts (Debbie) of Kings Mountain; and three sisters, Jahava “Deanie” Snow and Sally Miller (Don) both of Kings Mountain, and Gwen Hawk of Stanford.

In addition to her parents, Denise was preceded in death by two brothers, William David Watts and Harold Raymond Watts; and one sister, Joanne Greer.

Cremation rites have been honored. A public memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at New Beginnings United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bramel officiating the service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Point Cemetery.
