Leonard and Nelida Upton, of Junction City, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 23, 2018. The couple was married on Aug. 23, 1953 in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

A celebration was held in June in their honor.

They have two children; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Upton retired from Corning in Harrodsburg after 40 years and Mrs. Upton is a retired beautician.
