LaVera Adams

1949-2018

LaVera Adams, 69, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

She was born on June 9, 1949, in Garrard County, to the late Lucian Glenmore and Elveree Tussey Broaddus. LaVera worked as an administrative secretary for over 10 years and was currently working at the Garrard County Board of Education for over 30 years. She was a lifelong member of Bethel Christian Church. LaVera was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn Adams of Lexington, and Brad Adams of Frankfort; two brothers, Glenmore Wayne Broaddus (Mary Ellen) of Kirksville, and J.T. Broaddus(Geneva) of Kirksville.

Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dale Ballinger officiating. Vitiation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Perry Tussey, Steve Himes, Deno Constantine, Brian Adams, Joe Floyd, and Lucian Broaddus. Honorary pallbearers are Treva Brickey, Mary Adrian Davis, Fran Briner, Diane Sullivan, Ricky Padgett, David Abee, and Garrard County Board of Education Staff, and members of Bethel Christian Church.
