Church to open location at former furniture store

Centerpoint Church will open what it is calling The Warehouse on Main, at 201 E. Main St. in the former location of Main Street Furniture. The community is invited to an open house 5:30-7:30 p.m. Sunday Sept. 16 to find out what the church will offer, and take part in a free event offering food and music.

The location will not be fully opened until spring 2019, and plans on being a teen and counseling center, as well as offering activities for “differently-abled children in the community,” according to the church’s lead pastor, Jason Kilby. Eventually, the space will serve as a venue for concerts, conferences or other events in the city.

Centerpoint Church will continue meeting in its current location at The Loft, 116 North Third Street until Spring 2019, when The Warehouse will be opened. Check out Centerpoint Church on social media for updates and to see pictures of the renovations taking place.
