Boyle County Board of Education — 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Woodlawn Elementary School library. Items on the agenda include: superintendent’s report; hear public comments; consider pay application for the middle school construction project for $599,759.46; consider BG 1 for Woodlawn school renovation and middle and high school athletic facilities project; consider Hilliard Lyons Fiscal Agent contract; consider awarding or rejecting bids for middle school theater seating; consider creating two part-time positions.

Indivisible Danville to have forum

Indivisible Danville will host a forum for state representative candidates from the 54th and 55th Districts from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 in the community room at the RECC building on Hustonville Road. Moderator will be Barry Peel, veteran Kentucky news reporter who will focus on the topics of public education funding and compensation for teachers and state employees.

Invitations were sent to incumbent state representatives Daniel Elliott and Kim King and to the challengers, Lydia Coffey and Cathy Carter.

Coffey and Carter have agreed to attend.
