DBCHS Pets of the week, September 26

Published 6:10 am Wednesday, September 26, 2018

This week our featured pets are Kristin and Callie.

              Kristin

Kristin is a precious three-month-old tabby kitten with pretty white markings on her chest and paws. Kristin was found along with her siblings and brought to the humane society for safety. She was too young for adoption, but has grown into a gorgeous little girl with sparkly eyes and she is now ready for adoption. Kristin has a sweet and loving disposition and will make a purrfect companion in her forever home!

Callie is a pretty eight-year-old black and white Border Collie. Callie was surrendered to the humane society due to circumstances beyond her control. Her owner did not have time to give her all the attention that Callie deserves so she is ready for a new start in a new home. This beautiful girl has the sweetest nature. She loves belly rubs and will let you pet on her all day. Callie asks for very little and yet will give so much love in return if you choose to give her that second chance in a loving home!

The DBCHS will be holding an adoption event at the Danville Kroger this Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come and visit some of our sweet dogs and kitties that are available for adoption. Kroger will be collecting items on our wish list to help us care for the animals and monetary donations are always welcome. Even if you are not able to adopt, stop by just to say ”hi” and give the pups and kitties a little loving.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
