Meetings

Junction City Council — 7 p.m. Thursday at the Community Center. Agenda includes Jeffrey Wallace addressing the council under new business; approval of past minutes; and approval of bills.

Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency (Section 8) — 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 116 E. Main St., Suite B. Agenda includes old business, new business, regular quarterly meeting and utility schedule for 2019.

Perryville City Council — 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at the Perryville Community Center,          216 S. Buell St. for a special called meeting. The agenda consists of a discussion of the comprehensive zone change ordinance and a possible first reading.

Galilean Quilt & Craft Auction

LIBERTY — The 29th annual Galilean Quilt & Craft Auction will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12 and 13 at the campus of Galilean Home Ministries , 712 South Fork Church Road, Liberty. This is the biggest fundraiser of the year with over 300 quilts and crafts up for bid along with hundreds of buy now items. Kickoff is 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a spaghetti supper in the main house. At 6:30 p.m., there will be a program by the Galilean Family in the gym followed by the craft auction. Saturday morning at 7 a.m., there will be a pancake breakfast in the main house followed by the quilt auction in the gym at 10 a.m.  Lunch will be available just outside the gym as well as concessions, baked items and more throughout the day on Saturday. There will be campus tour schedules posted.

Cedar Creek annual fish fry

Cedar Creek Sportsman’s Club will hold its annual fish fry Saturday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 or adults, $5 for children five to 10, and four and under are free. Menu includes fish, hush puppies, potato wedges, coleslaw, dessert and drink. There will be a gun raffle, a $500 cash raffle, door prizes, auction, and lots of fun. Everyone is welcome.
