Pets of the Week
Our featured pets this week are McKenzie and Tamale.
McKenzie is a beautiful one-and-a-half-year-old tortoiseshell kitty. She was a stray who was brought to the humane society last summer along with her two young kittens. Once old enough the kittens were weaned and then adopted, but now dear Momma needs her forever home. McKenzie is a very sweet and friendly girl. She is quite social and enjoys living with the other cats in one of our kitty condos. McKenzie is ready to bring plenty of love and companionship to her adoptive family!
Tamale is an adorable 10-week-old Beagle mix puppy. She is mostly white with brown spots and lots of freckles on her face. This cutie is very sweet and when she’s not playing with her littermates, she wants to snuggle in your arms and give puppy kisses. Tamale has several siblings that are just as precious as she is available for adoption. Tamale is the perfect age to start the rest of her life with a loving family and she is sure to bring many years of joy to her new home!
Come join us this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for our monthly DBCHS obedience class. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the 127 Danville Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to attend for a small donation to the Humane Society. Space is limited so please pre-register by Friday at noon. You may email dbchs@bellsouth.net or call the Humane Society at (859) 238-1117 to sign up. We hope to see you on Saturday!
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
