DAR attend Vietnam War Memorial name dedication
St. Asaph Daughters of the American Revolution attended the dedication of the name of Sgt. Edward Bennett at the Kentucky Vietnam War Memorial in Frankfort that was held on Veterans Day (Nov. 11). Sgt. Bennett is honored on Panel W58, Line 17 of the Vietnam Veterans Wall in Washington, D.C., His father, PFC Herald Bennett, was in the Army Air Corps in World War II.
Bennett’s name is inscribed on the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial near the summer (June) solstice line. The summer solstice occurs around June 21, making it the longest day of the year. St. Asaph Daughters of the American Revolution were honored to have been there for the dedication.
