Ann Hope Evans Settles

1921-2018

Ann Hope Evans Settles, 97, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Danville Health & Rehab in Danville.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kirtley Settles. Ann was born on September 1, 1921 in Marion County, Kentucky to the late Samuel G. and Lida Glasscock Evans. She was a wonderful caregiver to everyone in her family, whom she dearly loved and an active charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Danville.

Ann is survived by a son, Daniel Settles (Marlene) of Danville; a daughter, Lida Settles Hollas of Garrard County; one grandchild, Dana Settles (Barry) of New York City; and one great grandchild, Katara Kogan of New York CIty.

Ann was also preceded in death by two sons, Samuel K. Settles and Steven S. Settles; a daughter-in-law, Becky Settles; and three brothers, Barkley Evans, William Evans and Joseph Evans.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Brent Rowe and Bro. Ernest Martin officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Kent Settles, Trent Roy, William Wallace Evans, Samuel Evans, Glen Sorrell and Barak Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be the Morning Star Sunday School Class.
