Edwina Jeffries Pierce “Chi Chi” was born on March 21, 1941, and passed away on January 12, 2019. She was born in Danville, Kentucky to parents Jessie Alexander Jeffries and Charles Edwin Jeffries. She graduated from Danville High School and attended the University of Kentucky. She spent the majority of her professional career in the Employee Recognition Department of EDS in Plano, Texas. In this position, she enjoyed travelling and planning large corporate events. She made many dear lifelong friends while at EDS. More recently, she went back to work at HP, which was formerly EDS, in the Company Store. She loved the many people who came regularly to visit her in the store. She was a true fighter – colon cancer survivor and last July she was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She was determined to fight it, but it was too aggressive for her body to handle. Years ago, she loved playing tennis and especially the social aspect of the game. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and was glued to her TV every Sunday watching them and other games all day.

She is survived by her son, Chuck Pierce; daughter, Christa Pierce Jones; son-in-law, Mike Jones; and the loves of her life, two granddaughters, Madelyn and Allie Jones. She was one special Granny to the two girls.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Prestonwood Country Club in Dallas, Texas.
