George S. Wilcher

1935-2019

George S. Wilcher, 83, of Harrodsburg passed away March 21. He was born in Boyle County on July 7, 1935, to the late Bill Wilcher and Marie Roysdon Burchett. He was a farmer.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Lynn Wilcher, and his daughter, Janet Louise Wilcher Carlos.

He is survived by a son, Michael Joe Wilcher, and two daughters, Sheila (Michael) Brown and Paula Day, all of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Tom Burchett and Joe Burchett; two sisters, Rose Pike and Barbara Lively; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Tom Burchett. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon.

Pallbearers will be James Brown, Christopher Day, David Day, Brian Day, Daniel Wilcher, Andrew Butler, Tyler Hilen, Kaleb Conley, and Matthew Butler.
