‘That Flute Guy’ concert

“That Flute Guy” – David K. will be in concert at Danville First Church of God on Sunday, April 28 at 6 p.m. He will be playing his flute and speaking. David K. is an award winning flutist and speaker. He has been featured on radio and television and has been the featured speaker and artist at countless conventions, revivals and services nationwide for over 20 years. More importantly, David is recognized as a man with a heart to serve God and a desire to make a difference. Everyone is invited to attend. A love offering will be received. Church Women United meeting

Church Women United of Mercer and Boyle County will meet Friday, May 3 at  9:30 a.m. at First Christian Church, 555 E. Lexington Ave., Danville. This will be a potluck, light breakfast for the group followed by a worship service. The featured speaker is Rev. Griffin Phillips Ryan, associate pastor of children for youth and young families at First Christian Church. All Christian women of any denomination are invited to attend. This will be friendship day; an annual event that promotes strengthening friendly relationships within our communities. It is also an opportunity to honor and encourage the gifts of women in our congregations. An additional offering, Fellowship of the Least Coin will take place. Each time a woman prays for peace, she sets aside a least coin as a token of her prayer.
