Tamme began his presentation by expressing how happy he and his family are to be back home in Boyle County, living and raising Angus cattle on farmland that has been in the Tamme family since the early 1900s. He also shared that an opportunity has recently come his way for employment with Meridian Wealth Management as a Financial Advisor with a particular focus on working with professional athletes.

Tamme then shared several entertaining stories from his career in college and professional football that prompted laughter and a number of questions throughout the room. When asked to share about a project that he and his wife Allison started a decade ago, Jacob explained about Swing for Soldiers, an annual golf tournament that benefits Homes For Our Troops. He shared that he and Allison organized the first event, to provide custom homes for injured veterans, without any outside assistance and that it was a very consuming endeavor that they weren’t certain they could repeat. However, after spending the day with the soldier and his family that would receive a new home from proceeds of the event, Jacob and Allison knew that they must continue on with the work that would bless so many, themselves included.

Jacob concluded the program by sharing his philosophy that life’s experiences, challenges and mistakes should be utilized as opportunities from which to learn and grow and that he has found that to be the key to his success.
