The month of June was a busy one for the Boyle County FFA Chapter. Boyle County FFA attended the 90th Kentucky FFA State Convention, held at Rupp Arena from June 10-13.

It had one of the best nights ever in chapter history, with the Parliamentary Procedure Team placing first in the state; the Record Keeping Team placing first in the state; greenhouse impromptu state champion; swine impromptu state champion; prepared public state champion; vegetable production proficiency area; and agriscience research-integrated systems proficiency area state champions.

After the state convention, 16 members from the Boyle County FFA Chapter made their way to Hardinsburg, where they attended the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center, June 24-28.

While there, they trained to become officers, assistant officers and committee chairs. As part of training, they built new leadership skills and learned to work together as a team.

On the final day, leadership awards were given to members who demonstrated skills they had learned and put to work in the past week. Daniel McQuerry, Megan Johnston and Landry Woodrum were awarded with outstanding leadership awards and Molly Crawford and Campbell Coyle were awarded with leadership awards as well.
