Boyle sheriff charges two with trafficking in meth

Two Danville men were arrested Friday and charged with several counts related to drugs, following a lengthy investigation by deputies from the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the sheriff’s office, James Christopher Pingleton, 24, and Noah L. Smith were arrested at 121 Plantation Drive when officers found about 2.5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, a large amount of MSM — used as a cutting agent for the suspected meth — scales, several baggies, two firearms, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Pingleton was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (meth); manufacturing a simulated controlled substance; possession of a simulated controlled substance; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. As of Monday afternoon he was listed as an inmate at the Boyle County Detention Center with a $20,000 cash bond.
Smith was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, meth. As of Monday afternoon, he was not listed as an inmate at the Boyle jail.
