Patty Joyce Furr Brock

1936-2019

Patty Joyce Furr Brock, 82, wife of Charles “Dick” Richard Brock, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at her residence. She was born November 30, 1936 in Boyle County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Paul F. and Ila Mae Hunt Furr. Patty was active at Versailles Baptist Church, were she enjoyed teaching a children’s Sunday school class, and took care of the financial records in earlier years, 1958-1960 was administration assistant for Kentucky School of Deaf, she had worked as a secretary for Chevy Chase Baptist Church, Lexington, Kentucky, and enjoyed teaching piano.

Patty will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Charles “Dick” Richard Brock, Versailles; children, Susan Tippett (Eric), Midway, Barry Brock (Paula), Georgetown; sister, Norma Gail Louis, Danville; special niece, Becky Louis Kinser (Gary), Ohio; grandchildren, Sean Tippett (Katelyn), Louisville, Clark Tippett (Mackenzie), Indianapolis, Carlie Tippett, Midway, Beth Shepherd (Danny), Georgetown, Danny Lay(Missy), Georgetown, David Lay (Kristen), Georgetown, Bradley Lay (Kayla), Winchester, Steffani Forbis (Billy), Indiana; and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Versailles Baptist Church. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2019 Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, Kentucky.

Pallbearers will be Eric Tippett, Sean Tippett, Clark Tippett, Gary Kinser, Ken Tippett, and Ron Peters. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Furr, Gerl McKinney, Paul M. Furr, Charlie Brown, Bob Akers, and J.O.Y. Sunday School Class.
