Ruth (Browning) Day

1942-2019

Ruth (Browning) Day, 77, of Stanford, passed away Tuesday, July 23rd, at her home. She was the widow of Jerry Day who preceded her in death on September 27, 2007. Ruth was born in Leslie County, Kentucky on April 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Polly Ann (Baker) and Barney B. Browning. Ruth enjoyed sewing and fishing and was a faithful member of Dix River Church of Christ.

Survivors Include Her Six Children, Tommy Day & Wife Cissie of Crab Orchard, Benny Day of Hustonville, Homer Lee Day & Wife Brenda of Stanford, Martha & Husband Tim Frith of Crab Orchard, Missy & Husband Jeff Frith of Stanford & Judy Lynn & Husband Scott Weaver of London; Five Siblings, Lillian Stark of North Carolina, Teresa & Husband Joe Nagy of Florida, Alma Browning of London, Lula & Husband Sam Whitaker of Corbin, Fred Browning of Stanford ; 16 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by Brother, Charles Browning and two Sisters, Lelia Browning & Goldie Boggs

Her six children and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers

Funeral Services 10 AM, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Day, Bro. Kenny Day & Roger Boggs officiating. Burial will be in the Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 PM, on Friday, July 26, 2019 at McKnight Funeral Home
