Lisa Denise Derringer

1961-2019

Lisa Denise Derringer, 58, Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Thursday morning August 1, 2019 at her home.

She was born on Wednesday, January 25, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Rodrick and Ruth A. (Knox) Derringer. Lisa was a 1979 graduate of Eminence High School. She was a semi-truck driver over 35 years and was currently driving for Jim Beam Distillery in Kentucky. Lisa enjoyed dancing, being outside working around her home mowing, riding horses, caring for her dogs and donkeys as well as home improvements. She especially loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors are her children, Randall L. Blankenship and wife Shelly of Indianapolis and Candy J. Ellis and husband Brian of Hustonville, Kentucky; mother, Ruth of Monrovia; brother, John Derringer of Brazil; sister, Donna Derringer of Monrovia; grandchildren, Jessica Ellis, Hailey Blankenship, Layla Blankenship, Mirra Blankenship, Wyatt Weesner, Walker Weesner, Kodi Weesner and Wrylie Weesner.

Lisa was preceded in death by a son, Cody R. Weesner; father, Rod; brothers, Brian Derringer and Frank Derringer.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Hazelwood Christian Church, 9947 South County Road 0, Clayton, IN 46118. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Ranson officiating.

Burial will be at Center Valley Cemetery in Clayton.
