Nellie Claunch

1947-2019

Nellie Claunch, 71, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019. She was the wife of 49 years to Daniel Wayne Claunch and was born in Lincoln County on December 28, 1947 to the late John and Florence Pemberton Pittman.

Nellie was a 1965 graduate of Hustonville High School, attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She collected dolls, loved all animals and enjoyed flowers. She had many bird feeders in her yard and especially liked watching the hummingbirds.

Along with her beloved husband, Danny, Nellie is survived by a son, Daniel Keith (Kristi) Claunch; four grandchildren, Delaney Claunch, Morgan Baker, Chelsea and Mason Teachey; two great-grandchildren, Hayden Baker and Riley Baker; and a brother, Kenneth (Wanda) Pittman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillis Yeager and Roberta Conder.

The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2019 at Walden Funeral Home Perryville with Rev. Doug Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Walden Funeral Home.
