Perryville City Council — special meeting, 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Perryville Community Center. The purpose of the meeting is to establish tax rates on real property, abandoned urban real property and personal property in the city of Perryville.

Summer Sizzle karaoke contest

Summer Sizzle karaoke contest, Friday, August 30 at Leos of Lancaster. Sign up starts at 7:30 p.m. Karaoke begins at 8 p.m. Top three contestants will advance to Grand Finale September 28. Contest will run weekly at various locations to be announced. All funds raised will be used for the benefit of our New Garrard Arts Center.
