Barbara Sue May Halcomb

Barbara Sue May Halcomb, 89, of Danville, KY died Thursday, August 29, 2019.

Born on October 30, 1929 in Salyersville, KY to the late Paris and June Adams May. Barbara graduated from Salyersville High School and attended Georgetown College, Eastern Kentucky University. She received her degree in teaching and was a first-grade teacher for Harrodsburg and Danville School systems. Barbara enjoyed gardening, travel, attending Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, and was a huge Kentucky basketball fan.

She is predeceased by her infant son, Stephen Dale Halcomb; and her husband, Harry Halcomb.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Harriet Halcomb of Danville, KY; her brother, Lowell (Mary Sue) May of Salyersville, KY; her nephew, Dwight David (Sherry) May; and her special caregiver, Lisa.

A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, KY. Officiating the service will be Rev. Tommy Valentine.
