Sophia Troyan Hrovat

1926-2019

Sophia Troyan Hrovat, 92, of Danville died Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Born in Soldier, Pennsylvania on October 11, 1926 to the late Peter and Maria Hluhan Troyan. Sophia was the manager of the Credit Union at Eaton Corp in Harrodsburg for many years and a member of Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville.

She is predeceased by her husband, the late Ralph Hrovat; nine brothers, Peter III, Joseph, John, George, Paul, Stephen, Adam, Andrew and Michael; six sisters, Mary Filisky, Martha Regula, Eve Hornak, Anna Tratter, Catherine Kasarda and Helen Grocky.

She is survived by her two sons, Tim (Elvie) Hrovat of Rosedale, Indiana and Dave Hrovat of Corinth, Texas; and three step-granddaughters, Deborah, Sarah and Abby.

The funeral service will be 9 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville. Officiating the service will be Father Anthony Muthu. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.
