News release
Boyle County Schools will host its first Parent Fest on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Boyle County High School.
This event will have a variety of educational sessions for parents aimed at increasing their children’s success in school, from college planning to gifted children as well as addressing other timely issues facing students, such as vaping, mental health and social media concerns. The session topics were generated from concerns voiced by parents during last year’s Basic Needs Survey. Each session will last 25 minutes and parents will get to choose three sessions to attend during the event.
The district will provide a free family meal at 5 p.m. before the sessions begin at 6 p.m. Additionally, free childcare will be available for parents of children preschool age and older.
“We hope this event will be beneficial to parents, as we know trying to ensure your child has every opportunity to be successful can be overwhelming at times,” stated Stephanie Wade, technology integration specialist for Boyle County Schools, who is organizing the event. “These sessions are aimed at providing more information to parents in the areas in which they have indicated they would like more support and resources.”
If you are a parent or caregiver of a Boyle County Schools student and would like to attend Parent Fest, please visit the Boyle County Schools website (boyle.kyschools.us) to RSVP.
