This week our featured pets are Avah and Lily.

Avah is a lovely 8-month-old orange and white tabby. She has beautiful golden eyes and a sweet nature. Avah was a friendly stray brought to the humane society so she could find a loving home. This gorgeous girl enjoys playing with kitty toys and interacting with visitors and her cute kitty antics will bring a smile to your face. She is sure to make a wonderful feline companion for many years to come in her forever home.

Lily is a pretty black and tan hound mix. She is about 1-year-old and weighs 45 pounds. Lily was a stray and her owner has not been found. So, she has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and is now available for adoption. Lily is a sweet girl that loves people and when she looks at you with her big brown eyes, it will touch your heart. Lily does well on leash and would love to be your walking partner if you choose her for adoption.

This Saturday Shoe Sensation in the Danville Manor is hosting a special adoption event called “Shoes For Paws”. The DBCHS will have some cute dogs and kittens that are available for adoption at the store. Shoe Sensation is offering 10 percent off all Bobs for Dogs from Skechers shoes on Saturday. The DBCHS will be accepting donations of pet food and toys, cleaning supplies such as paper towels, liquid laundry detergent, bleach, hand soap and sanitizer, towels and blankets. So come and get a great deal on shoes and visit the precious dogs and kitties and you might just find a new four-legged forever friend.
