Mercer grand jury indicts 16

The following people were indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on Sept. 11:

• Travis Peyton, 38, Salvisa: flagrant nonsupport for his minor child. Bail was set at $5,000. Stephanie Pearce testified for the Commonwealth.

• Nicholas Denny, 30, Paint Lick: theft by unlawful taking of property belonging to Walmart valued between $500 and $10,000. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000. Blake Darland with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.

• Morgan Dixon, 26, Berea:  theft by unlawful taking of property belonging to Walmart valued between $500 and $10,000. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Deborah Jennings, 52, Frankfort: first-degree bail jumping by failing to appear for a pretrial conference. Bail was set at $5,000. Kari Wilson testified for the Commonwealth.

• Rebecca Whitehouse, 21, Danville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Jeffrey Carmicle, 21, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, heroin. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Jordan Long, 30, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia, syringe. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000. Derek Patterson with the HPD testified.

• Lindsay Robinson, 23, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, heroin; third-degree possession of a controlled substance, gabapentin. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000. Bill Cruce with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Robert White, 42, Versailles: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia, scales. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Anastasia Thompson, 23, Harrodsburg: tampering with physical evidence; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Donna Mosley, 48, Harrodsburg: tampering with physical evidence; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia, syringeBail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Tad Shelton, 33, Hustonville: tampering with physical evidence; driving on a suspended license; driving without liability insurance. Bail was set at 10% of $5,000 and Darland testified.

• Samantha Followell, 30, Florence: first-degree fleeing or evading police; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia, scales; third-degree criminal mischief; driving on suspended license; driving vehicle with expired plates. Bail was set at $5,000 and Patterson testified.

• Justin Jones, 41, Harrodsburg: possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, hydrocodone.Bail was set at 10% of $10,000 and Cruse testified.

• David Hawkins, 32, Independence, Missouri: two counts first-degree sodomy of victim younger than 12; two counts incest of victim younger than 12; first-degree rape; incest of victim younger than 18. Bail was set at $100,000 cash. Wes Gaddis with the MCSO testified.

• Kenneth Cook, 41, Harrodsburg: 20 counts possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor by a persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $50,000. Wilmer Gatson with the Kentucky State Police testified.
