Atmos begins project to replace lines

Atmos Energy is going to be investing in part of its aging infrastructure in Danville beginning this week. The Ky. 150 Project involves replacing approximately 8,745 feet of bare steel main with a High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) main, 40 service lines will be involved. Service lines run from the street to the home. Each homeowner will be updated accordingly and there is no cost to the customers for this service line replacement.
The streets involved include Ky. 150, David Avenue, Letton Drive, Ensslin Avenue, Gose Pike and Old Lancaster Road.
At this time, Atmos Energy does not anticipate any road closures, but will work with local officials should something change as the project progresses. The anticipated date of completion is around late June 2020, notwithstanding any unforeseen complications.

During Atmos Energy’s 2009 rate case, the Kentucky Public Service Commission approved a Pipeline Replacement Program (PRP) for its service territory in Kentucky which enables Atmos Energy to replace bare steel and other aging infrastructure.
