Chaney completes military training

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Cameron T. Chaney graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Chaney is the son of Donna Meador of Georgetown and Russel Chaney of Danville. He is a 2017 graduate of Scott County High School in Georgetown.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

 

Allen joins staff at Ephraim McDowell Walk-In and Primary Care

Kyle Allen, P.A., a physician assistant, has joined the staff at Ephraim McDowell Walk-in & Primary Care, providing walk-in care to patients of all ages.

Allen is from Casey County and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University and his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. He has a special interest in pre-hospital care and emergency and urgent treatment medicine. Prior to becoming a P.A., he was an EMT-B and volunteer firefighter. 

Allen and his wife, Mindy, live in Casey County with their two sons. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and traveling.
