James “Jimmy” Johnson

James Lawrence “Jimmy” Johnson, 72, of Junction City passed away Sunday October 13, 2019. Born September 25, 1947, he was the son of the late William Dewey and Mary Elaine Simpson Johnson.

Jimmy was a US Navy veteran. He was retired from Gray Construction where he worked for 25 years. Jimmy liked to hunt, loved to garden and was an avid crappie fisherman. He is survived by the love of his life, Alma Jones of Junction City; daughter, Jamie (Monty) Atwood of Stanford; son, James Ray (Kim) Johnson of Lincoln County; Alma’s son, Donald Jones of Perryville; brother, Lonnie (Frances) Johnson of Danville; sisters, Janie (Jerry) Grant and Renita Cox, both of Danville; seven grandchildren: Joel (Alissa) High of Stanford, Morgan High, Hannah (Dallin) Tritapoe, Jordan Johnson Roggow, Samantha (Ray) Mason, Jessica (Todd) Simpson and Jared (Krista) Atwood; and six great grandchildren: Layken High, Eden High, Harrison James Tritapoe, Chloe Simpson, Declan Atwood and Zander Atwood. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm, Thursday Night at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Rev. Ken Hughes. Visitation is 5:30-7pm, Thursday. Burial will be in Junction City. Guestbook@www.wlpruitt.com.
