Wince Rogers

1925-2019

Wince Rogers, 94, of Junction City began his heavenly residency on Monday, October 21, 2019. Wince leaves behind a wife, Opal Rogers; daughter, Wanda Bugg, son, Jerry (Shirley) Rogers, step daughter, Vicki (Charles) Thompson; grandchildren: Cindy Rogers, Terry Bugg, and Stefanie (Mike) Cocanougher; great grandchildren: Alexis (Weston) Martt and Clay Cocanougher; and a great-great grandchild, Gentry Martt.

Wince was born and raised in Casey County on October 1, 1925. He was the son of Boaddus and Della Rogers. He was preceeded in death by his loving 1st wife, Inez Cutter Rogers and they celebrated 54 years of marriage before her passing. Also preceeded by siblings: Henry Rogers, Toby Rogers, Clement “Curly” Rogers, Estelle Cochran, Juanita Cochran, and Ivabell Alsman; and son-in-law, Danny Bugg. 

Wince was well known in the community. He was a former businessman and retired farmer. Wince loved auctions and antiques but was most happy being on the farm and spending time with family. Wince was strong in his convictions and was ready for his heavenly home. Services will be at 11 am, Thursday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with burial in Junction City Cemetery.
