Trick-or-treat moved to Friday in Danville

Due to the inclement weather forecast for Thursday, the City of Danville has decided to move trick-or-treat to Friday evening. Neighborhood hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., while downtown, Main Street hours will be 5:30 to 7 p.m.

City Manager Ron Scott said the city has only rescheduled Halloween once in the past eight years “due to clearly significantly adverse weather.” On Tuesday, the forecast called for a 100% chance of rain Thursday, with up to half an inch expected, with a high of 49 degrees and a low of 28.

Friday, the temperature will be about the same, but with only a 10% chance of rain.
